Curious as to the timeline for the creation of a video project? Check out this example we prepared below.
- A customer needs a music video for his band. So he goes and searches for music video production companies that can help him in producing one. He assesses each one’s capabilities, picks the best and hires it to do the job.
- The video production company then sits down with the client to discuss the following important details: What is the concept of the music video? What is your story? What is the mood and theme? How do you want your band to be portrayed in the video? Do you have any special requests? Who will play as the actors? Do we need to hire additional cast members? With this information, the company can determine exactly what corporate video production services the client needs.
- The next step is for the company and the client to agree on a time line. It should be feasible for both parties. They also go on and agree on a budget. This is crucial, as estimating budgets should be done correctly as to avoid problems in the succeeding stages of video production. Then, hiring the crew members begins. The important people are gathered together and the project is discussed in detail. All the necessary equipment needed is outsourced and prepared. This entire process described is called the pre-production process of creating a video.
The production stage begins. The music video is shot. A bulk of the time allotted for the creation of the video is spent in this stage. Also, most of the money goes here.
- After the video has been shot, the digital video production company then goes inside the editing room. The footage is previewed and reviewed, then editing and cutting scenes and sequences begin. Music is then added and the video is polished. The client then screens the video and suggests edits and corrections that the company applies. Finally, once both parties are satisfied with their product, the music video is ready to be released.
- Final payments are made and the copyright of the work is transferred in whole to the customer or client. The job of the video production company has ended.
